I. I really enjoyed doing this. The best parts were definitely the colouring, and drawing Horror. Although I could’ve done better on Swap’s arm.

The og idea was gonna be the differences of touch.

Horror’s touch being threatening - due to whatever circumstances you want to think of.

Swap’s touch was supposed to be on his shoulder, almost reassuring.

But I couldn’t get the arm to look right so whatever.

Not sure if it’s just the corner of ao3 that I personally inhabit, but I find it so interesting is that there’s way more fics that include Helena’s POV than Margaret’s. Like. One is just your garden variety emotionally abusive mom who thinks they know better than their ADULT child, but the other is this deeply traumatized woman who resents her youngest child for living when they couldn’t save their older sibling, even though it was never that child’s responsibility in the first place. Yeah, Helena’s mind is easier to get into because lots of people have their own flavor of ✨interesting✨parental figures, but Margaret is a whole other beast because the Buckley family situation is so uncommon.
